Instructions

The Jericho Article Builder uses the same basic technology as our book builder, except it parses Wikipedia articles and turns them into e-books. If you need to create research materials to take with you and install on your mobile devices, that's why we developed this web application.

Simply enter a complete Wikipedia URL and a one word title for your book and click the button to retrieve the article. Then click the "build" button to compile your book for download.

Books are produced in EPUB 3 format and are compatible with Apple iBooks, Kobo, Barnes and Noble Nook, Adobe Digital Editions, Calibre, Moon+ Reader and Aldiko. Moon+ Reader and Aldiko both run on the Amazon Kindle. All books produced by the Article Builder are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.

Due to the thrilling adventures possible in parsing the HTML and scripts on Wikipedia, the books produced by the Article Builder are generally readable, but they most decidedly will not validate as EPUB3 standard e-books. This is not likely to change any time soon. You can still read them and use them, however. We're going to be doing a premium set of books for the bookstore which will be enhanced with validated manuscripts and more elaborate covers.

If you find the Article Builder useful, and you would like to support our work on Jericho, consider contributing to our Patreon, become a Literacy Champion and help make educational titles available to schools and online libraries like Gutenberg, archive.org and Wikipedia.

The Article Builder is alpha software and is under continuous development. If you'd like to try it out, authorization codes are available free at the Palace in the Sky Bookstore. If you have questions, please e-mail.
